Another week passed

Well this week wasn't the best. I was sick with a cold for most of this week not pleasant, but at least I'm on the tail of it. Anyway Ben's brother Jacob and his wife came to visit again this weekend. Once again we played A LOT of the Wii and stayed up way to late. Bailey also is loving her new car seat. Tax season still STINKS, but like I said before another week passed.

Few Of my Favorite Relatives

This last week my niece Lyndsie came to visit me, we are only 8 years apart and I love that I am still cool enough to hang out with a 21 year old! :)We had a great time. Ben is in tax season and so we never see him. He is usually gone by 5:45am and doesn't get home until about 7:00pm. Yea tax season. Anyway so it was a perfect time for Lyndsie to come and see me, we had great food, Muddy Buddies, Fire House, stayed up way late, talked and watched movies. Thanks Lyndsie we love you and hope you come and visit again soon. These are pictures from our Gerratt family trip to Mexico.

Also this week Ben's brother Jacob wanted us to go to Pocatello to look at some more houses with him. It worked out great because Lyndsie had to get back home to work (she works at 3 different hospitals) and so she was able to take Bailey to my parents. Well that was the plan but her dad (my brother Todd and his wife) actually kept her Saturday night. Anyway we looked at houses, ate lunch and dinner, went to the movie and played games and had a good Saturday. But we missed Bailey, it is just SO hard to leave her. Below is a picture of the new dress the Todd and family got here when they were in Mexico a few weeks ago.

We got to my parents late Saturday night and Sunday afternoon some of my Aunts showed up just to hang out. My Aunt Louise has always lived pretty close to us and when we were little we used to get her and my mom confused! My Aunt Carol has always lived in Idaho and I actually lived with her for a summer when I was going to college. And of course my grandma, she is the one who took care of me from the day I was born until I was 2 months old when my adoption was final. I love seeing them and they have always been a great example to me.

Catching Up

So, it's been a little while since I've updated my blog, so here we go! Two weeks ago (the week of New Years) We made a crazy unplanned trip to Pocatello to Ben's brother's to look at a house. Luckily for us my parents were headed home after spending a few days with my sister and met us to take Bailey with them. Ben and I weren't sure what the situation would be in Pocatello so we thought that would be best for Bailey and of course Grandma and Grandpa were thrilled. So they took Bailey with them and we all went our separate ways. Well we didn't end up leaving Pocatello until about 11:30pm that night, once again thanks for taking Bailey. Ben and I are real party animals and were both asleep by about 10:30pm New Years Eve.
This last week I finally put Christmas away, it was bugging me because I knew it HAD to be done so thank heavens Bailey was a good napper so I could finish it all up. We also had visitors this week. Ben's brother Jacob and his wife Breawna, came to visit. Their original plans were to come up on Friday and leave on Saturday. Jacob is our mechanic and both of our cars needed a little attention. It's really nice to have a mechanic that will come to you and he give a really good discount! Anyway Breawna's brother lives here and the five of us went out to dinner when they got to town. Bailey was down for the night by than so our wonderful Baby sitter Sydney came over. After dinner we played the Wii, we played the Wii all night long. On Saturday Jacob fixed the cars and as he and I were talking in our disaster of a garage he said "you know you guys really need to buy some hooks to hang your bikes." Ok well I have been telling Ben that for 3(!!) years, but of course when Jacob suggests it, Ben thinks it's the best idea ever. So THANK YOU Jacob for fixing the cars and organizing the garage. We now have hooks, racks, and shelves. Jacob and Breawna left Sunday morning sore from playing so much on the Wii. I should have taken more pictures!

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas with our family. We spent Christmas Eve with Ben's family which is always a party. Ann (Ben's Mom) made a wonderful dinner and after we had eaten moved onto the presents. The weather and roads were horrible and on the way to Ann's we had to turn around and go borrow my Dad's pickup so we could get there and back safely and we left some presents in our car. But we had a great time, most of the night Bailey played with Jacob (Ben's brother) she would curl up like a little ball next to him and play peek a boo it was soo cute. On Christmas day we opened presents in the morning with my parents and then headed to Todd's for our traditional Christmas breakfast. It was a wonderful Christmas I just wish the weather would have been better. Ann and all that was in her house was snowed in their house for 24 hrs and she lost power for an hour. It was wonderful to be with family at this time of year.

First Birthday

The week before Christmas we celebrated Bailey's first birthday. We are so grateful to have her and can't imagine how we ever lived without her. She keeps us so busy all the time. She loves to dance and every she can she will start to clean! She will clean with a piece of paper, cloth, pull towels out of the drawers and go to work. She cleans the floor, the walls, doors, etc. Anyway my parents, brother Todd, his wife Brenda, and my niece Lyndsie drove down from Burley to celebrate with us. Mom and Dad went shopping while Todd took the rest of us out to lunch- Thanks Todd. Than we all met back at the house. Lyndsie offered to decorate the cake for us and it was soo cute and everything was polka dots. Todd was finally able to feed Bailey Ice cream, cake, the cheese from his pizza -we said no on the pop. She was very timid about her cake when we set it in front of her -less mess for me to clean up! :) Here are pictures of her big day. THANK YOU so much to all of our family and friends who have been apart of Bailey's life this past year.

Weekend in Salt Lake

The same week that we got Bailey's pictures taken Ben's cousin got married. So it was off to Salt Lake for the wedding, dinner, and having fun with the Brown family. We got to Sandy Friday afternoon and stopped by to say hi and change our clothes at my sisters. Thanks Wendy and Lexie for spending time with us, it was great to see you. After that we headed to "The Woods" for the wedding and reception. After the celebration Ben, Bailey, and I headed to Babies R' Us to buy Bailey a new big girl car seat. After that we headed into Salt Lake where we had a hotel with the rest of the Brown's. I went with the rest of the Brown girls to Temple Square to see the lights (which I love) we had a great time. The next morning we woke up to a lot of snow. Most of the Brown's who lived in Idaho took off early to make it home. Ben, Bailey, Jacob, Breawna and I headed to have breakfast. These are some pictures from that weekend of fun. We loved spending time with everyone.

First Year Pictures

Ok, I know that I haven't blogged for a while-blame it on the crazy Holiday Season. So two weeks ago we got Bailey's first year pictures taken!! Can you believe that it has been a year, I can't. Anyway we got them taken at JC Penny. I have been other places for her pictures and I LOVED JC Penny not to mention I had a killer coupon. We got one of her birthday presents early and thanks to my wonderful sister-in-law Yvonne who gave us the cutest outfit that I used for her pictures. Here are two of my favorite pictures.
