Hokey Night

Ben, Bailey, & I went to play games on Friday night with some friends. We have known Jon, Sherri, and their three girls for about 4 years now. We met at church and have been friends ever since. We always laugh about being friends because we are complete opposites, but maybe that is why we get along so well. Ben's family introduced me to the game, that used to be called, Hokey and we introduced Jon and Sherri to it and we have to play at least once every time we get together. We have had a lot of good times with Jon, Sherri, and girls and hope to have lots more.

A Lunch Date

On Wednesday Bailey and I went to Brigham City to have lunch at Maddox. We met my sister-in-law Brenda, my niece Lyndsie, and my nephew's wife Kristi. They had come to Utah on Tuesday night to go to So You Think You Can Dance and were able to meet us the next day. The food was good, as usual, and we ALWAYS love seeing family. Thanks for stopping to see us.

The Past Nine Months

I wanted to do a slide show of pictures for Bailey's Nine month check up blog, but I didn't know how. So my ever patient sister-in-law Sommers had to teach me and she just did about 30 minutes ago, so here is my first attempt. These are some of my favorite pictures of Bailey from over the past nine months-I can't believe how fast she has grown! It makes me want to cry. Thanks again Sommers for all of your help.

Too Cute Not To Post

Ok, this blog has nothing to do with anything, but I love it. In May, Sommers, one of my amazing sister-in-laws, planned a trip for the whole Gerratt family. Like all Gerratt get togethers we stayed up way to late, played hard, and ate WAY to much! We all went and stayed in a cabin for Memorial Day, while we were there we took Bailey swiming for the first time. This is after we were done swimming and getting ready to bathe and change her - she & Ben started playing and I LOVE her giggle so I thought I would share.

My BYU Fans

So if any of you have ever talked to my husband about sports you know that he LOVES them. He especially loves football, BYU football. That would be thanks to his Grandma Snow (who I love) and his Uncle John. He grew up watching BYU play and since we have been married I honestly don't think he has ever missed a game. He has either heard it on the radio, watched on TV or watched it on the Internet. So now that we have Bailey, he is positive that she is a big a BYU fan as he is (at 9 months)! So during BYU's second game he told Bailey that if they won he would buy her a BYU t-shirt. They won and true to his word he bought her a shirt, so now every Saturday that BYU plays Bailey has to wear her BYU shirt -no options. So here are my two favorite BYU fans.

Thursday Night Football

It's that time of year again when my husband is all about football, college football, NFL all day Sunday football, Monday night Football, and Thursday night Flag Football. Yes, thanks to Jones Simkins -the firm where Ben works-for sponsoring the Jones Simkins Flag football team. Ben now plays football every Thursday night. Last week was their first game of the season, which they won. Bailey and I were unable to go due to the fact that it started at 9:00pm and her bedtime is at 8:00pm and we don't mess with the bedtime schedule. This weeks game was at 7:00pm and so we were able to go and watch them play. Ben made a touchdown catch tonight and REALLY enjoys playing. He loves sports of any kind. Unfortunately two of the regular players were unable to be there; one had a sick child so that is totally understandable. The other player -lets call him "Tyler"-doesn't really have an excuse, because he was there on the sidelines and I am pretty sure that if he were willing to play Jones Simkins would have won the game tonight. "Tyler" - I'm sure- would have been the extra muscle and skills the team needed to pull off a win tonight. Anyway good luck Jones Simkins for the Flag Football season! I forgot my camera tonight, so this is a picture of the team from last year. Ben is number 26 and is on his second football jersey.

Not a good day!

Ok, so who's idea was it for Bailey to get her shots! She wouldn't nap at all today unless she was snuggling or being held so I accomplished nothing at all. She was grumpy, fussy, and just all around not a happy girl, it's a good thing I love her as much as I do. The only time she wasn't too fussy was when she was trying to get into Obi's dog food, it's a good thing he loves her too. Her fever hit at about 3:30pm around 100.3 and of course I couldn't get a hold of Ben at work to see when he would be home, you know how those silly accountants are work, work, work. So luckily for me my awesome, wonderful neighbor Nicole took Bailey while I ran to the store for some fever medicine. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. These picture wasn't taken today but it fits the mood at our house.

9 Month Check Up

Today Bailey had her 9 month check up, she will be 9 months old tomorrow. She is in the 33% for her weight at 17lbs, the 41% for her height at 27 inches, and 67% for her head! She also received her first shots today and I was really nervous for her, but she was a little trooper. I didn't want her to have her shots when she was first born, she was just too little, so I put them off until today. She was really brave and didn't cry until she was given her second shot and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
She is crawling everywhere,
crawling up the stairs,
pulling her self up to her feet on everything she can get a hold of,
putting anything in her mouth she can find,
makes as much noise as possible until we get around other people than she won't make a peep,
and she is my little wonder.

New Couches

Well after almost 6 years of marriage, lots of SAVING money, tears (ok not so many tears), gnashing of teeth, and tons of begging I finally got some new couches and here they are! I am so excited and any one who knows that I have this blog are all invited over to sit on my new couches -I know how exciting! I would also like to thank everyone who donated couches to the Brown family.
