Happy Anniversary

Today is my parents 48th Anniversary. They have been a wonderful example to me for a great marriage. No matter what was going on I never doubted that my parents loved each other and their five kids. I hope that you both have a wonderful day & know that we love you.

Also 28 years ago today I was sealed to my parents and family in the Salt Lake Temple. My parents had this same picture hanging in their house the whole time I was growing up. So this day is special to me for a couple of reasons.

Two years ago my parents took all of their children, their spouses, and all the grandkids on a trip to Mexico. While we were there we took family pictures, so here is the last family picture we took. And we have also had four new additions to the family since then. Two new grandchildren and two of my nephews got married. Thanks for all the love and memories.

Brown Visitors

On Friday Night Ben's little brother Jacob and his wife Breawna stopped by for the night. Jacob was scheduled to go in for laser eye surgery on Saturday morning in Salt Lake. They got here about 8:30pm, I had just put Bailey down for the night, but they had asked to wait to eat dinner so we sent the boys out to pick some up. We were all starving and ate fast. Afterward Breawna's Brother Eric came over to play a little Rock Band with us. We watched movies and went to bed around 1:30am! They left early that morning for the surgery - that was a success. When we got home from church today they were waiting for us in the drive way! Ben made us a wonderful dinner and right when we were going to sit down Breawna's brother Eric came over to eat with us too. After dinner we played a little more Rock Band, some Tennis and Golf on the Wii and then they all had to go. We really enjoy spending time with everyone and are excited to see them again when they come down in a few weeks for Jacob to go to his check up.

Supporting Daddy

As you all know, Ben plays flag football. Bailey and I are not able to go to all of his games, only the ones that start at 7:00pm. This last weeks game was at 7:00pm and it was a close game, but Jones Simkins was able to pull off a win at the end. Of course Ben came home with Bloody knees, anyway here is Bailey all bundled up, but excited to be there watching Ben.

Pumpkin Walk

Every year North Logan City does a Pumpkin Walk. I have wanted to go for a couple of years now, but without Bailey it seemed a little silly. Anyway now that we have Bailey we went. We decided to go on Friday as soon as Ben got off of work. There were still a lot of people there and we were worried about how far away we would have to park, but after turning into the parking lot a car pulled out of the very front first parking space! We were excited and I'm sorry that it is another slide, but we took a lot of cute pictures. At the Pumpkin Walk there were Wooden Scenes with circles cut out for people to put their faces into and of course my favorite were the Star Wars Scenes. The others are scenes that people made for the Pumpkin Walk. I couldn't believe how crafty people were with pumpkins!

Two Little Teeth

About two weeks ago Bailey turned 10 months old. A few days before she turned 10 months old her first tooth finally broke through and the next day her second tooth broke through. Now she has her two front bottom teeth. I tried to get a good picture of them and it took me about 10 pictures to get one and here it is.

Purchases

Ok, I was so excited about my JJ Cole purchases that I had to take a picture so everyone could see. I bought a lot of things to keep. As I mentioned before NO announcements just preparing for the future. I bought baby boy blankets and other boy items in the hope that when we are ready for #2 (in about another 2 1/2 years) that maybe we will have a boy. All in all just planning ahead. The Diaper caddies are amazing, one of the new purchases. Last year I bought the Bundle Me and the Bundle Me Light for infants, this year I bought both again, but for the Toddler. The little hat is another new purchase, it is a little big, but way cute! As you can tell I'm still having issues arranging the pictures!

What A Weekend!

On Thursday my Mom, my sister-in-law Sommers, my nephew Shaydon, and Sommers' mom Debbie came from Boise and Burley to visit. We went to Firehouse for dinner/dessert and just hung out that night. On Friday Sommers, Debbie, and I got up early and headed to the JJ Cole's annual warehouse sale. We arrived around 8:30am and were (at that time) about 37th in line. The sale started at 9:00am and by the time the doors opened from everyone crowding we ended up being probably around 50th in line. It was crazy and I was SO happy that we had left Bailey and Shaydon with Mom - Thanks Mom. I had brought 3 of my IKEA bags with us and we loaded them and went to a corner to dump our stuff and go get more. Debbie stayed with our items while Sommers and I divided and conquered. After we sorted through our things it was about another 20 minute wait in line to get out. I bought a brand new, cute, entire crib set for#2 for only $50.00. NO- I am not making any announcements but just preparing for the future. We were able to get most of the things we wanted (all the diaper bags were gone within in 5 minutes). And I really hope that Sommers comes up again for next years sale.

After the sale we took pictures of the kids in their Halloween costumes. Shaydon is a Rooster (with a way cute tail) and Bailey is a Skunk (with a way cute tail). We should have taken a picture of the kids from behind, but here are a few pictures of them.

I love when Bailey is able to spend time with Shaydon. I know it probably kind of dumb and corny, but it makes me think of me and my Brother Scott. We are only 11 months apart and he has always been one of my best friends. Bailey is this olive skinned chubby little girl like I was and Shaydon is this gorgeous paled skinned, skinny little boy like Scott was and they are only 4 months apart. We hope to see Shaydon again soon.

6 Wonderful Years

Today is Ben & I's 6th Anniversary. Six years ago today we were married in the Bountiful Temple. It was a crisp, clear morning, no snow, rain, or clouds. We had a lot of wonderful friends and family that were there with us. We have had a lot of fun these past 6 years. He is my best friend and the perfect husband for me. He laughs with me, hugs me when I cry -and then tells me to stop crying :) - forgives me when I am a brat, supports me, and loves me. He is a wonderful husband and father. Thanks for all the laughs-love you.

Flag Football Injuries!

I arrived home from my little trip to Burley on Friday around noon. I called Ben when I got here to let him know we had made it safely. He decided to come home for lunch and to see us and when he walked in the door this is what he looked like! He had a flag football game on Thursday night and decided not to tell me that he got kicked in the head by someone wearing cleats! I have to admit that I don't have a lot of sympathy for injuries that come from Jones Simkins sport activities. Ben loves playing all of these sports and I support him and always have, I go to all of the games that Bailey and I can. But I don't see his playing as a necessity of life, Ben is very competitive -which I don't understand, but is usually why he gets hurt, so I'm not very sympathetic. So not the best picture, but notice the big red bruise in the center of his head!

4 Days in Burley

What a crazy week! Ben's birthday was Monday, a good day had by all. On Tuesday Bailey and I headed to Burley. I was REALLY nervous about going because it was to be our first solo trip -without Ben- but she did really well. She fell asleep right before we got on the interstate and woke up right before the Burley exit.
I went to Burley to see my friend Katrin; she is a friend from high school who I haven't seen in about 8 years. I had a great time talking with her and I hope to be able to see her again around Thanksgiving.
While we were in Burley, Bailey had her traditional grandchild bath -which is in my mom's kitchen sink, she got a much needed hair cut, we took our first trip to the Pumpkin Patch -the Pumpkin Patch is in Rupert; this man grows all sorts of wonderful things for the fall and lets people wander all over his yard and fields and pick pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, corn stalks, bails of straw etc, I loved it. My mom caught a cold which hit the day we arrived so Bailey spent a lot of time with my dad. Whenever she was crawling on the floor dad was right behind her, it was pretty cute. We had a great trip, thanks Mom & Dad for the great 4 days. Also thank you to Grandma, Grandpa, & Aunt Yvonne for the cute Halloween toys!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEN!

Today is Ben's Birthday! We - Bailey & I- just want him to know how much we love him. Ben works hard so that I can stay home with Bailey. He is a wonderful husband and friend. He is a great father to Bailey and we hope that he has a great day and remembers how old he is! :)

Friends & Football

Ben invited Mason H. and family to come and watch the BYU -USU game with us. Unfortunately they didn't make it for the big tailgate party, but they did make it to the game before half time. They were able to stay until Saturday and we stayed up until the VERY wee hours of Saturday morning and had a great time. Thanks for coming to visit, we had a great time and Bailey enjoyed spending time with Mason's very cute kids.

BYU vs. USU

Well Bailey and I had another weekend of Football. On Thursday Utah played Oregon State, I have no idea who won, but Ben had a few friends over to watch the game. Bailey was happy because Tyler brought Maddi and Bryson with him so Bailey had someone to play with. Tyler came around 7:00pm and left around 8:00pm. Not long after he left Jake came over and shortly after Jake got here MitChell showed up. Ben had a great time watching football with his friends, who are always welcome to came over to watch sports.

On Friday MitChell and Tyler decided to have a Jones Simkins Tailgate party for the BYU - USU game that was here in Logan. The tailgate party started at 3:30pm and the game was a 6:00pm. Since USU was playing BYU we had half the population on Provo here in Logan for the game and traffic & parking was CRAZY from about 4:00pm on. Of course Bailey was supporting BYU.

Lunch in the park

Wednesday Bailey & I went to have lunch with our friends: Sherri, Anna, and Kara. We picked up soup and headed to the park to play and eat. We had a great time and hope to be able to spend time together really soon. Anna is the one in the tree and there is less than a year between Kara and Bailey.
